Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Policy

ASR is committed to operating in a manner that is focused on preventing injuries and ill health in our employees and visitors to ASR facilities and operating those facilities in a way that considers/reduces our impact on the environment. We strive to continually improve the health, safety and environmental friendliness of our process, procedures and practices, to the extent possible, through risk assessment and corrective and preventive actions and comply with the applicable regulatory and legal requirements.

Sustainability Policy

As a responsible member of the community, we are committed to acting in an ethical and environmentally-conscious manner throughout all of our business activities.

ASR strives to minimize the environmental impact of the scope of our business activities. We work toward reducing our environmental footprint by focusing on increasing efficiency and reducing waste in our operational activities, thereby creating a more sustainable business model.

ASR’s sustainability policy encompasses:

  • Recycling as much appropriate waste as possible – especially commonly used materials such as paper and plastic water bottles
  • Using products with less harmful environmental impacts – environmentally-friendly soaps, detergents, and cleaning supplies
  • Avoiding unnecessary travel by using instant messaging applications, telephone conferencing, and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex for conducting meetings
  • Encouraging employees to carpool to the extent practical
  • Reducing energy usage by using high efficiency, low energy light fixtures with motion sensitive detectors to switch lights on and off as needed once no motion is detected after a fixed amount of time
  • Powering down electrical equipment/appliances and lighting when not in use or operating in energy saving modes
  • Encouraging the use of hand dryers rather than paper towels to reduce waste
  • Complying with all applicable and relevant regulatory and legal requirements and exceeding them when practicable
  • Encouraging employees to seek out new methods of reducing the impact of our work on the environment and collectively act in a manner that helps to develop a more sustainable future
  • Regularly audit ASR’s compliance with ISO 14001 standard

Section 508 Compliance

Section 508, part of the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1998, requires that when US Federal Government agencies develop, procure, maintain, or use Electronic and Information Technology (EIT), they shall ensure that the electronic and information technology be accessible to Federal employees and members of the public with disabilities. ASR understands the importance of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and deploys professionals trained and oriented in producing deliverables in compliance with Section 508 EIT standards.
