Abstract
Worldwide manufacturing is currently undergoing a 4th Industrial Revolution. This revolution, called Industry 4.0, integrates Cyber Physical systems with networks of sensors and the Internet of Things and the Internet of Services. The result is a dramatically improved efficiency, decreased cost, and increase versatility in meeting demand. Despite these dramatic benefits, Industry 4.0 presents many challenges. This paper we addresses some of the issues associated with the adaption of Industry 4.0. They include cyber security, intellectual property protection, data analytics, and the impact on manufacturing and service sector jobs.
