ASR to Provide Construction Management Services for NAVFAC Northwest’s Naval Base Kitsap Dry Dock Seismic Mitigation Project
February 3, 2023ASR has been awarded a contract by NAVFAC Northwest to support the dry dock seismic mitigation project at Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Washington. Four dry docks at Naval Base Kitsap were suspended from hosting submarines following an annual seismic assessment that discovered potential concerns, requiring repairs and upgrades to mitigate the discovered issues.
Under this contract, ASR Field Engineers and Administrative personnel will work 24/7 alongside Government and construction contractor personnel to perform construction management services supporting seismic mitigation repairs and upgrades of four dry docks at Naval Base Kitsap — Dry Dock 4, 5, and 6 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) and a dry dock at Trident Refit Facility Bangor. ASR is eager to provide its construction management expertise to NAVFAC Northwest, as demonstrated by ASR's successful performance of construction management services supporting the ROICC Trident Dry Dock Recapitalization Project at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, to ensure a smooth completion of the project and speedy return of the dry docks to active service of the U.S. Pacific Fleet.
