Scope of Work

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The candidate will be responsible for the organization’s property accountability and management. They will receive, inspect, and disseminate all incoming property items/equipment and supplies. Identify and control property that requires minor and plant property accountability.
  • Ensure all property and equipment are affixed with a plant or minor property control label. They will also identify and track assets that are non-accountable.
  • The candidate will obtain, prepare and process all required paperwork and asset databases. They will conduct physical inventories, analyze results, identify systematic discrepancies in property and equipment accountability, and recommend solutions for data security and integrity problems.
  • Document, reconcile and report inventory discrepancies, identify assets that should be replaced, modernized or added to the command physical inventory.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving inspecting and assembling (as needed) property, equipment, or furniture delivered to the Assets facility. Receive and processes requests for computer assets and supplies; prepares assets and supplies for pick up and dissemination.
  • Coordinate the repair of inoperable equipment that is returned to assets, perform site inventory of assets assigned to departing employees, and reports any discrepancies. The candidate alsoproperly sanitizes property and equipment to ensure the complete removal of any classified information from equipment that becomes surplus.
  • The candidate will administer the disposal of equipment for the Command, ensuring that proper Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) or transfer policies are followed. Process all assets that leave the facility in accordancewith organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Independently resolve problems and ensure effective resolution of customer inquiries, raising appropriate issues to the Asset Manager.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with all applicable policies and guidance.
  • Work closely with internal/external customers to efficiently resolve time sensitive and complex problems.
  • Ensures proper coordination, security and policy review, and clearance procedures are followed.
  • Clearly communicate strategies, plans, procedures and process requirements with others to ensure proper coordination, participation, quality of work and execution.
  • Ensures participation and outcomes of efforts result in a positive impact on the organization and improves quality of product or customer relationship.
  • Ensures proper coordination, security and policy review, and clearance procedures are followed.
  • Ensures proper safety regulations are followed.
  • Independently resolves problems and normally ensures effective resolution of customer inquiries, raising appropriate issues to Asset Manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Knowledge Required for the Position

  • An active Top Secret Clearance based on a current SSBI/SSBI-PR within the last five years
