inspection is a detailed dimensional and visual examination of container
features performed prior to certifying that air cargo container meets
the USPS requirements.
ASR performs an annual inspection and documents
the status of USPS owned air cargo container and their airworthiness
as defined by the FAA and USPS standards in effect at the time of the
inspection. Each container report identifies all defects that cause
a container to not be airworthy and is in sufficient detail to enable
solicitation of firm-fixed price repair quotes.
The containers were located in fifteen (15)
basic locations within the United States. ASR supplied inspection reports
that included:
- Container Inspection Report – one report per
container inspected
- Site Data Report – one data report per site
per inspection request
- Annual Inspection Data Report – one report summarizing
all Site Data Reports completed as part of the annual inspection
The Container Inspection Report included narratives and digital photos
detailing the condition of the container inspected. The photos were
in a format capable of being displayed by Internet Explorer 5.5. ASR
developed a report format for the site and annual inspections that are
suitable for display and manipulation using Microsoft Excel.
